As a producers-only market, the management team has visited every farm and has been so impressed by each farmers’ passion about land preservation and sustainable and regenerative methods of farming. As we all work to take care of our planet, we also include sustainability in our children’s curriculum. We require biodegradable bags at the market by all vendors, and strongly encourage the use of reusable shopping bags by all visitors. We have some great Uptown Farmers Market bags for purchase at the market! Our food insecurity initiatives also focus on eliminating food waste and getting any remaining produce at the end of a market to where it is needed most.
